Belhelvie Community Trust, a local charity which runs The Sand Bothy at Balmedie Country Park, has received £1,000 grant from St. James's Place Foundation, the charity arm of St. James's Place who offer financial advice to individuals, trustees and businesses.
The Sand Bothy volunteers Diane Sleith Gillespie, Morag Ross, Pete Buchanan and Annie Grant; met with Steven Mathieson, Director of Mathieson Financial Services Ltd, a representative of St. James's Place at The Sand Bothy Community Fun Day on 17th September for the handover of the donation.
Diane said, “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this donation from St. James's Place because it will help us buy some interactive IT equipment. This means community groups, educational groups and organisations can now share presentations digitally as part of the activities hosted at The Sand Bothy”.
This donation emphasises the commitment Steven Mathieson and St. James's Place have to local charitable causes.
Steven said, “We have known Annie for a long time now and I wanted to support her work in the charity, given she works as hard as anyone I know for such a good, local cause. It will be great to see things develop with our donation”.
Annie said, “A huge thank you to Steven Mathieson and the St. James's Place Foundation for arranging this donation. This donation will go a long way to helping support our community - giving everyone the opportunity to be part of something great”.
